Housing Affordability

Right now, with costs skyrocketing and no end in sight, many hardworking individuals and families are struggling to make ends meet. Though some folks struggle more than others, people from all walks of life are affected by insufficient housing, including low-income earners, young professionals, seniors, and beyond.

Making housing more affordable is critical to the economic stability of our state. We need an adequate housing supply to promote job growth and ensure people aren’t stuck budgeting so much of their income toward housing that spending drops and the economy stalls.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution to this issue, but there is plenty of action to take at the state legislature to make progress.
